Why Hire Me As Your Doula?

We aren’t meant to do this alone.

I believe every parent deserves to feel supported—mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually—through the incredible transition into parenthood. As your doula, I walk alongside you with a servant’s heart, ready to meet your unique needs and values with compassion, respect, and practical support.

What Makes My Care Different

Unlike a nanny or baby nurse, a doula is here for you.

Yes, I care for babies—but my focus is on the entire family unit, especially the mother and partner. I don’t bring my own agenda, parenting style, or preferences. Instead, I honor yours.

As your postpartum doula, I’m here to

  • Support the parenting choices you’ve made

  • Offer insight when requested

  • Create space for you to heal, bond, and grow into your new role—on your own terms.

Becoming a parent is beautiful—but also emotionally intense.
Many parents feel overwhelmed, anxious, or isolated.

I offer:

  • A listening ear without judgment

  • Validation for whatever you're feeling

  • Space for tears, questions, joy, and everything in between

  • Gentle encouragement for self-care practices

  • Opportunities for both parents to reconnect, breathe, and reset

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

Frequently Asked Questions About Postpartum Doula Support

What postpartum doula services does Little Flower Birth Services provide?

My postpartum doula services include physical recovery support, emotional care, infant feeding assistance (breast or bottle), meal preparation, light housekeeping, sibling adjustment help, overnight support, and spiritual encouragement. I tailor our support to your family's unique needs and parenting choices.

How can a postpartum doula benefit my family during this transition?

A postpartum doula provides practical support so you can rest and heal, offers emotional companionship during a vulnerable time, assists with newborn care and feeding, supports your parenting choices without judgment, recognizes signs of postpartum mood disorders, and creates space for you to bond with your baby while maintaining your household.

How do you respect and support our family's Christian values?

As a faith-centered service, I honor your family's Christian values through prayer support when requested, scripture-based encouragement, respect for your parenting decisions, and nurturing the spiritual dimension of your postpartum journey. I believe this sacred time is an opportunity for spiritual growth and will support your family's faith practices.

What is your scheduling availability and how many hours of support do families typically need?

I offer flexible scheduling options, including daytime support (typically 4-hour shifts), overnight care (9 hours), and extended packages. Most families benefit from 2-3 visits per week in the first few weeks, gradually decreasing as confidence grows. We'll work with you to create a support plan that meets your specific needs and budget.

How is a postpartum doula different from a baby nurse or nanny?

Unlike baby nurses or nannies who primarily focus on infant care, I care for the entire family unit with special attention to the mother's recovery and well-being. I don't impose my own parenting style but instead support your choices, provide evidence-based information when requested, and empower you to grow confidently in your parenting journey.
